There are loads of family-friendly fun things to see and do in Brighton. We’ve put together a pocket guide of our top things to do with the kids during a day out in the city.

British Airways i360 a day out in Brighton with young children Volks Railway

Start in Brighton Marina – grab yourself a takeaway coffee from the Laughing Dog café and set off along the seafront either walking or on Volks Electric railway (adult £3.90, child £2.40)

Take an easy stroll along the length of Brighton Palace Pier admiring the views back towards the city and try your hand at some of the traditional arcade games, our favourite is the Dolphin Derby.  Don’t forget to pick up a bag of freshly baked doughnuts as you leave to enjoy on your next part of the walk.

Walk along the seafront path from the Pier to BAi360, the kids won’t be able to resist the carousel or a slide on the big copper fish.

Try one of the takeaway options from the food huts located at beach level in front of BA i360, including wraps, burgers and salads.  Take a seat on the beach, the kids will enjoy building up pebble piles and perhaps a paddle in the sea.

Up, up and away. A trip up to 450 feet high on board the giant BA i360 pod – kids love looking down from above at the tiny people and cars passing by while you take in the very best views of Brighton and the South Coast.

Back down at beach level, just minutes from BAi360, you’ll find the Kings Road playground where the kids can make sandcastles and enjoy the slides and climbing frames.  Please note that the paddling pool is currently closed.

Time to start wending your way back towards the Marina, but not before you stop off at the fun and fabulous JB’s American Diner for a classic themed diner experience!

We advise all visitors to check with each venue highlighted before visiting to ensure they are open and to familiarise yourself with their COVID19 measures.  To understand how BA i360 are keeping visitors and staff safe visit click here
