We’re bringing Christmas cheer to the skies for our first Christmas as Brighton i360. Meet the maker behind our fantastic sustainable Christmas
decorations!
The UK is full to the brim with talented artists, makers and creators who we love to celebrate – especially at Christmas! So for this year’s festive season we wanted to do something a little different with our decs – and support an artist right here on UK soil.
We commissioned artist and printmaker, Jenny Devereux, to bring some Christmas cheer to the skies for our first Christmas as Brighton i360. And boy, did she deliver!
Jenny lovingly created over 500 stars (all by hand might we add!) from her home in Truro, Cornwall, to form
a joyful Christmas star garland to decorate the pod. All the paper stars are just as beautiful as they are sustainable – just like our pod!
Best Value ticket – which includes a pod journey, plus any drink* from the Sky Bar and six digital photographs!
*Inclusive drinks to the maximum value of £10 per adult or young person and £5 per child.
Meet the Maker: Jenny Devereux
I have worked as a professional, artist and printmaker, for many years with shows of paintings and etchings in UK and Japan.
Represented by CCA Galleries, The Art Group and APJ Japan and included in many collections including the British Government and Wilhemina Barnes Graham.
Now I have turned my attention to working on paper in a different way.
I have always had an interest in early textiles and motifs, the STARS are inspired by Diaper Patterns, a design genre of small-scale, repeated, geometric designs. I have had fun creating my own versions in bright colours, but it was only later that I thought of making them into stars.
In my Etsy shop ‘Jenny Devereux Studio’ I am continuing to explore my passion for patterns and shapes, the world is my oyster for subjects!
