With Mother’s Day around the corner, you may want to start planning how you are going to celebrate this year. Brighton is full of activities that will keep you and your family entertained throughout the day. Fancy an afternoon tea in Brighton? Or maybe you are looking for a cultural-centric day? We’ve got you covered with our list of heart-warming activities in Brighton.
1. Seaside Picnic at Brighton Beach
We know that the weather isn’t quite warm yet – but is there anything more British than enjoying a portion of fish and chips on the beach during the rain? With Mother’s Day around the corner, we would recommend preparing a feast of one of Brighton’s delicacy’s. Head down to Brighton beach and find a spot where you can shelter from the classic UK spring weather. You can spend the morning listening to the sounds of the waves and watching the world go by – a great start to a memorable Mother’s Day.
2. Artistic & Cultural Activities In Brighton
If you are looking for a cultural adventure with your mum, then we would recommend the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. Here, you can explore the diverse collections of art and history together whilst also soaking up the culture of Brighton. Experience the fine art and contemporary exhibitions featuring everything from local pieces to historical artefacts. Located right in the city centre, near the Royal Pavilion Estate, you are only a five minute walk from the seafront – ideal if you started off your morning eating fish and chips on the beach like we suggested above.
3. Treat Your Mum To A Gift From The Lanes
If you visited Brighton and you didn’t go down The Lanes, did you even visit Brighton? One of our favourite Brighton activities for Mother’s Day is to spend some quality time together, exploring the narrow streets. With so many beautiful, independent stores, The Lanes offers a unique shopping experience for both you and your parents. You could even pick out a special souvenir for your mum so you can remember this day for years to come.
